Actress Sandhya seems to be quite a favorite among Tamil filmmakers. Apart from the movies 'Manjal Vayyil' where she pairs with Prasanna and 'Mahesh, Saranya Matrum Palar' with Shakthi, she has many more in the pipeline.Both 'Manjal Veyyil' and 'Mahesh, Saranya Matrum Palar' are getting ready for a July release.
A film is being planned with the title 'Odippolaama' and Sandhya will be starring opposite a debutante, Primal. This movie will be made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. Interestingly director K.S. Ravikumar had planned to make a movie with the same title with Dhanush some years ago. The movie for reasons unknown was shelved.
Sandhya will also feature in Sakthi Chidambaram's 'Rajadhi Raja' that stars Larencce. She is slated to play one of six heroines in the film. Grapevine has it that some heroines roped in for the film are pulling out. A feeling of the 'crowd element' seems to have set in with the girls. Lakshmi Rai who was supposed to play a vital character in the film has reportedly pulled out. Sandhya however will be a part of the film.
Director Seeruramasami who made 'Koodal Nagar' starring Bharath and Sandhya is starting another project for Roja Combines. He has reportedly asked for Sandhya's dates for the project.
With so many films under her belt, young Sandhya has an opportunity to make a mark for herself firmly in the world of Tamil Cinema.
