Before Kangna, the film was offered to Genelia Dsouza and Asin as well, but they rejected the film citing date problems. Only time will tell if Kangna made the right choice.

Simran and Jaya TV are taking on Kamal's 10 roles in Dasavatharam!

In the latest episodes of the serial Simran Thirai, a collection of short stories in the new story Naravelli, she is appearing in 14 avataar's.

In the Aadi season, Jaya TV from June 30- Monday to Friday at 8.30P.M they are going to telecast "Navavelli" . This story comes amidst the most auspicious of months, the Aadi season, which celebrates the power of the Shakthi.

The story is about an unsurpassable force of energy in the form of Annai Adhiparasakthi, unites the good and evil deeds of this world safeguarding the interests of human beings. Simran comes in 14 'Avataar's of Amman as she fights for justice and instills spiritual faith in her followers.

The Jaya TV press note says- "Simran as usual gives a splendid performance that would definitely ear mark her as the one and only all-rounder in Tamil small screen. It is also noteworthy to mention that Simran's multi-faceted characters here would surpass the hype created by "Dasavathaaram", as she would be adorning 14 different roles in "Navavelli "

Ash gets the highest ever salary!

Aishwarya Rai is very much a part of Shankar’s Rajinikanth dream project Robot, being produced by Ayngaran International.

Sources close to the deal said that last week the actress finally signed on the dotted line.

She was reportedly paid a whopping advance amount for the film.

Aishwarya is rumoured to be getting Rs 6 Crore to be the heroine of Robot. This is said to be the highest ever salary paid to an actress for an Indian film.

She has agreed to give bulk dates for the film as and when required.

As per original plans, Shankar was supposed to start the film in the first week of June. Due to various hitches, the shooting of the film will start now only in the last week of August after a low key ‘pooja’ in Chennai.

The dates have now become very convenient for Ash. She had kept the entire month of July and August for the Bachchan’s “Unforgettable World Tour”, a series of shows across continents organised by Wizcraft and starring the Bachchans (Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya) along with a host of stars.

After Aishwarya finishes her world tour, it will be time to start Robot. As of now Shankar is said to be planning to start the shoot with a song to be picturised across the world. So Ash once again goes around the world with the one and only superstar!
