According to Farooq, Appachan refused to abide by the Tamil Film Producers Council's settlement agreement where by he was to get Rs 6 lakhs for his story rights. The producer paid him Rs 1 Lakh and refused to pay the remaining amount.
When the matter came up for hearing, Appachan's lawyer agreed to pay the remaining amount. So the ATM story wrangle has been settled out of court, and now there are no legal hurdles in the release of the film.
