The year 2007 has seen more 'son rise' than ever before in Kollywood. The latest to join the bandwagon is Ashwin, son of comedian and politician S.Ve Shekhar ,the Mylapore MLA.Ashwin is being launched as an action hero with Vegam, directed by K.V Udayashankar. Archana, from Mumbai is the heroine, and Sriman plays the deadly villain. And making a cameo appearance are Prabhu and Kushboo, along with S.Ve Shekhar. The music is provided by Rajesh Vaidya.
Ashwin is being launched as an action hero, and the entire second half of the film has been shot in Malaysia. Says S.Ve Shekhar: "It is a feel good action film which has all commercial ingredients to make it work with the audiences like songs, awesome action, beautiful locations and a good story."
Last Friday, S.Ve Shekhar held an impressive press show of the film at Four Frames.
