The production house that launched Cheran as an actor with `Solla Marandha Kadhai,' is into its next creation, `Maaya Kannaadi,' with Cheran as hero, writer and director. Panju Arunachalam's son P. Ar. Subramaniam, the producer of `Maaya Kannaadi,' laughs when asked why he chose to produce the film. "Cheran, of course!" he says and adds, "He's a nice human being and an extraordinary filmmaker."
